Maintenance Information
DHF Recommendations
A programme of regular maintenance is brought into effect from the day that doors, barriers or gates are put into use. Products that are only opened and closed once daily should be serviced at least annually and much more frequently where usage is constant. Bearing in mind the legal and financial risks of breakdowns, we strongly recommend maintenance work of this kind be carried out by a qualified and fully trained engineer.
Guidelines, such as these, have been issued regarding preventative maintenance and safe operation, by several government departments.
Regular Maintenance
Maintenance is required from the first day if warranties are to remain valid. The
frequency of inspections should be based on how quickly the work equipment or parts of it are likely to deteriorate and therefore give rise to significant risk. This should take into account the type of equipment, how it is used and the conditions to which it is exposed.
